@earthshine well in my stories Atom is the most important character and all the others really on exist to make the telling of the story possible. Still they must have enough substance to them to make it work.

And that's when you have a good clutch of OCs, rich enough to be interesting and useful but not overpowering to the point of annoyance.

OCs can really be interesting and good, they add freshness to an otherwise stale fandom. Sometimes I WANT to seek out what other fans have done, thus why I sometimes read fanfiction, especially when the fandom is at a creative stand-still officially (like Tetsuwan Atomu). It's just hard to find these OC treasures.

I guess what bugs me most is impatience and intolerance of what other people really enjoy.

There are certain things that I kind of don't "get"

There are other things I'm almost shocked to learn people have thought up

And of course there are things that might be fantastic for younger fans :w00t: , but not so much for older fans :shifty:

Then there are things - OC's, story concepts, etc. that kind of defy all logic

In the end, as long as we don't spam each other, or bring harm to each other, the really wonderful thing about this forum (and presumably others) is that we can meet other people who enjoy the same things we do.

And I'd have to say, I've really enjoyed some of the fanfics I've read here (or on fanfiction.net) - the retelling of stories, or deeper development of characters and "OC's" have been nothing short of remarkable for me. But not everyone enjoys that kind of entertainment, so that's okay. Just want people who DO contribute in that way to know that, indeed, some of us like that kind of thing very much. (As Earthshine said, it's all about the way it's done ;) )

@earthshine Well I'd appreciate your opinion on how I've done with that if you ever run across my stuff on fan fiction dot net.

What really bugs me in a fandom. When someone tries to shove their opinion down your throat, in a'I'm smart you're dumb, I'm big you're little, I'm right you're wrong and there's nothing you can do about it' kind of way. Trust me, I've come across them on some fandoms recently and they really tick me off.

It's when you try to talk to someone and they put a big brick wall of 'nope!' over what you say that really sucks too @.@

@Tetsuwan- I honestly forgot there were OCs in your story. They were so well written that I didn't have a problem with them. (This is rare for me so hold this compliment in very high regards)

@Acorn- I've come across someone like this. Worst conversation of my life.

Fan Couples, Sexuality Changes, and personality changes.

This all the way. I have a friend who did this to a bunch of characters, and I seriously wanted to ask her why she didn't just change their names and call them her own characters. Even their looks were different. I was so disappointed.

Eh, genderbending doesn't bug me too much. It's a bit like an AU, sometimes (at least, it is the way I see it). What makes me cringe is the "mpreg" stories you get every once in a while, particularly in a popular "boyxboy" ship within a fandom. :d oh:

What I want to is why anyone would find that the least bit attractive. Think about it. It's a pregnant male. Do they even know what comes with pregnancies?
And it's impossible anyway.
Darn kids.
