I found some episodes on youtube. The style of the animation reminds me of 'The powerpuff girls' or 'The fairly odd parents'.

I'm sure the creators were influenced by Astro though.

BTW, there already IS a fan fiction cross over between MLAATAR and Astro.

I watched some of MLAATR back in the day as well. It wasn't my favorite Nick cartoon from the '00s, but it was pretty good for what it was.

One of my favorites from that era was Danny Phantom. Definitely my favorite Butch Hartman cartoon.

Hard to believe that both of those cartoons premiered over 10 years ago now...

I have been re-watching Samurai Jack (on the topic of great older cartoons). I love Genndy's work, always a masterpiece. I really miss Aku and the voice actor Mako though and am sad that he is no longer alive.

Samurai Jack is a good old classic. It's been a while since I've watched it, but I remember enjoying it every time I got to see it.

I'm also a fan of Genndy Tartakovsky's work. I watched Dexter's Laboratory quite often in my younger years. I still wonder how Dexter managed to build such a large laboratory under his house. Hotel Transylvania is a great film as well; it was much better than I expected it to be.

Apparently he's making a second Hotel Transylvania according to the IMDB and it will air in 2015.

I really like Samurai Jack and look forward to maybe someday having it properly completed. I know in an old interview back when the fourth season was finalized Genndy said that he felt that a movie should end the series since that's how the story started in the first place. I'm not sure if that will ever happen though... the story was continued on in comic form though for a while.

I've always enjoyed Genndy's work, Dexter's Lab being my favorite of his. Another one of my favorite cartoonists is Craig McCraken. I really enjoyed the Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends when I was younger.

Agreed; Craig McCracken's pretty awesome too. I also loved watching PPG and Foster's. Come to think of it, I've probably seen close to, if not every episode of PPG. It's definitely a great series.

Sounds like back in September 2012, Tartakovsky said in an interview with IGN that the film is in "pre-production". J.J. Abrams is supposedly producing it as well, which would be really interesting to see. It seems like it's been stuck in development hell though from what I've read. I'd love to see a Samurai Jack movie, but the chances of it actually happening look slim at this point in time. :(
