Just thought it would be a good time to announce that AnimeSols has finally shipped the pre-order sets for Creamy Mami volume 1 and Black Jack volume 1!

That's great to hear! Though I'm still hoping that they are going to add Black Jack 21 on Anime Sols for pledge! (I really want to finish watching them. All they have on Youtube now of Black Jack is the Latin episodes! And half of them aren't even Black Jack 21!)

I don't remember the website themselves saying much about it, though (but then again, it could have been by way of Twitter, which I almost never use as I find it to be extremely boring).

I'm a little worried about those fair-trade items. And I'm more than just a little worried about the status of that book... not that I'd even be able to afford a copy, myself. Can you even buy the stuff without pledging first, or is that mandatory? Like, do they only make enough for those that pledged, or do they have a proper online store/are planning on having a proper online store?

The series must get pledged in order to get funded, but AnimeSols will make a standard DVD press run for each funded box set that will be available for purchase on Rightstuf. Pledging any higher than ten dollars ensures that you get a pre-order copy of the set you pledged for.

Same here. I wish I can pledge. I asked my mother if I could once, but she said no. I'm not allowed to buy anything w/o permission cause I'm a kid. It's the rules in our family. Kids aren't allowed to have their own allowances or buy stuff. I wonder if some of the Black Jack Japanese DVDs are region free? I don't think they are as far as I know. (Think you need a Japanese DVD player for them.)

Actually some DVD players such as Oppo can be hacked via unlocking codes to be region free. Also some computer DVD player software is region free.
