Scientists develop Injectable Oxygen that will let you live without breathing

Postby Atomars » 10 years ago

Wow, this is so cool, check it out.

Scientists have developed micro-particles that can be injected in the bloodstream and oxygenate your body.
This technology is called Injectable Oxygen and it will keep you alive without you even breathing and without any help from your lungs.

These micro-particles contain oxygen in layers of lipids and each particle contains up to four times more oxygen than each of human red blood cells has.
They are then suspended in liquid in order for them to be injected in the bloodstream.

This technology is so useful because you don't have to breathe at all as long as 30 minutes and perhaps even longer in the future.
There are a lot of great uses with this technology. Imagine, you can go scuba diving without carrying an oxygen tank.
It will also help doctors to keep patients alive in the event of respiratory failure.

ANOTHER great show from my youth! I forgot about the oxygen pills.

Steve Zodiac was "too old" for me. But actually Dr. Venus was where I got the idea for Astro's future wife in my head canon (brilliant alien scientist - the fact she looked like Brigette Bardot (and her accent was French - I thought she was from Venus. Duh) went right over my head!)

If they can find a way to get the oxygen into us without an injection (pills? gum?) - that would be an incredible asset to firefighters. I just can't picture firefighters lining up to get their shots before sliding down the pole!

They might have created this wonderful technology but it has yet to even be put into practical use, we have so much great technology that can be of great aid but it has yet to be tested and proven effective. We're probably years away from seeing this work the way it should, such as the cancer-killing virus and others.

Of course.[/QUOTE]Actually, I did find some sources while searching for it. However, do note that this was reported on a year ago, so its old news, just that this site recently found out.

Here's the link: http://www.digitaltrends.com/cool-tech/breathing-scientists-injectable-oxygen/

Was reported on August, 2012.

Yes, I know that ;) . It's just that no one posted it here before so I thought of sharing it.
I wrote a post about it on my site because of this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yejDghqigW0
