Hi everyone,

I heard from a few of you -- THANK YOU!! As you can see, Mark has worked his magic and we're back in business. He did say to expect an upgrade this weekend, so if the forum is out of commission for a while, don't panic.

And remember to go check out tezukainenglish.com for news on any kind of technical problem over here!
There's "no place like home" - but it's great to have "emergency housing!" :p

Great to be back.

I'm curious about what this upgrade to the forum will do? Should we expect a newer look or the forum to hold more people at a time?

I'm glad it's up and running again. I was really worried there for a minute. Especially since according to Sporkia the site was redirecting them to the ACLU webpage...

Home sweet home.

Looking forward to the upgrade and whatever it is going to do.

So was I, but thankfully we got it all sorted out. So I'm glad for that.

Glad to see everything's back up and running. I got a little worried when I saw the "403 Forbidden" page.

Same. That's the part that really got me worried.

Actually the 403 forbidden part didn't bother me, since that is a clue that the server itself is up, but web posting is disabled. It's not nice to leave it that way while doing maintenance, but it can happen. The redirection to the ACLU site was more worrisome. That sounded like a DNS, or the site server itself was hacked.
I still can't figure out why a reverse lookup on the site's IP address lands on a strange named server somewhere in the US.

Yay! It feels great to be back! XD! I did see the 404 forbidden page yesterday actually. I wasn't worried one bit, since I heard this happend a few times before to ABO.

Good thing I checked again. I would've not logged back in for days! XD!
