LEGO & other building blocks

Postby jeffbert » 10 years ago

 I already forgot which one, but at the local Walmart, there is a zombie set. :D The same type has various military sets, including a tank.

LEGO has sets based on the new movie, which have two alternate models in each. One may be a pizzeria, while the other is a nightmarish thing that chases the poor guy who wears the chef's hat.

I used to play with Mega blocks when I was little. I hardly ever touched Legos cause I think they were too expensive for our parents to buy back then. I don't remember any Legos from 2001-2007, back when I showed interest in Mega blocks and Legos. I think I grew out of Legos when I turned 10. (was starting Middle school.)

lol. I want to see that movie. Wish I could see it at the theaters but we don't have any money to. I remember one part of the movie where someone was naming all the names of the dogs. lol. I don't know why, but I laughed soo hard at that part.

I had a giant tub of legos inherited from my dad from when he was a kid that were a pretty big part of my childhood. I was never terribly creative with them on account of being too young to understand basic building structures enough to build the cool things I had in my head, but I still tried. It was always my dream to try to put every single lego piece in that tub together into some big nonsensical thing, but there were too many legos for my short attention span. Nobody plays with them anymore, but I think my dad still has them in the garage somewhere.

I saw the Lego movie with my sister (after practically dragging her there because she refused to believe she'd like it) and it was one of the most enjoyable movies we'd seen in awhile. It was pretty silly all the way though and I'd really recommend it. :)
It's a magical day!

You know what? I think I remember having a huge tub with Legos in it as well. I think I remember the sounds of it when you rummage through them in my head. They always made that weird sound that sounded like a bunch of coins in a chest or wallet. I think the legos dissappeared though, and then the tub was filled with nothing but toys that we grew out of, and some old pieces of candy. (Yuck! I remember when we were moving last summer, and we saw an old piece of chocolate that was wrapped in a baseball designed wrapper. That must've been in there for years! I think since 2006! :sick :) I think I also remember seeing a fort of some sort kinda thing that was made out of Lego blocks. (I think my oldest brother built it.) Though, I think some of the pieces were missing from it. Since we moved, all of our legos and mega blocks stuff dissapeared. Probably in storage with my stuffed animals and 2004 My little pony toys that I don't even play with anymore and grew out of. The only things I enjoy now that are quite childish is collecting stuffed animals. I still have one that's from the 80s! My mother got it from a vending machine back then. (She originally got it for my oldest brother. Though somehow, when I was about 2 or 3, I got my hands on it and has loved it ever since.) I still have it (It's a stuffed reindeer btw.) today and place it by my pillow. I even gave it a weird name when I was little. Yeah, so it's called Cha-Cha! (Don't ask. I was a weird kid back then.)

Sorry for talking soo much. That's a habit of mine and I'm guessing it runs in the family.

OK Lego freaks. Here is the car chase scene from the Blues Brothers done in Lego.

My brother and his friends and I used to play Lego policeman-and-robber games as kids. I never recalled playing games with girls before in my life. No wonder Asian grownups can't stand me.

I joined this forum in late 2013 when I was 15 going on 16. Ignore my oldest posts, they embarrass me so much that I've considered permanantly leaving the forum more than once. I've grown out of my fangirling phase over Black Jack, Atom and Uran ages ago but the memories still embarrass me at times... Though, I try to be more open-minded about it and accept it as an "interesting stage of my life". :tezuka:

They have call of duty mega bloks now? Weird.

@Kuo-Yi Dont worry, I used to play pokemon card battles and lego stuff with my brothers when I was little as well. Most of my friends from elementry school were boys too. I think I only had about three friends that were girls. Now, I don't have any friends cause they stopped hanging out with me when we hit middle school.
