This in my 10,000th post! Whoever started this thread should feel privileged!

I have greatly enjoyed my time here, & now suppose I ought to stay away for a few days, so you mortals can bask in the radiance of this, my 10K post.

That privileged person is none other than one of our moderators, Earthshine!

Anyway, let me be the first to congratulate you on reaching 10,000 posts! It's always a pleasure seeing you post around the forum, especially with your screencap threads.

I can now add a new random fact to this thread about our forum: Jeffbert is now the only member of AstroBoy Online Forums to have five digits in his post count, and is the first member of this forum to reach 10,000 posts. Astro Forever will certainly be joining him soon as the second member in those categories, as she's about 300 posts away from 10,000 herself. Everyone else is about 6,200 posts or more away from 10,000.

That's a lot of posts and I can't help but wonder if I'll ever get to that level. Maybe in a few more years. I don't plan on leaving this site any time soon (even if I'm a bit of a ghost right now due to life stuff) so I'm sure one day I'll see 10,000.

Apparently snow leopards aren't leopards at all but are more closely related to tigers (heard this on a brand-new documentary on snow leopards funded by the BBC).

Something I figured out a while ago:

Year: 1 syllable, 1 digit (1 year)
Decade: 2 syllables, 2 digits (10 years)
Century: 3 syllables, 3 digits (100 years)
Millennium: 4 syllables, 4 digits (1000 years)

Coincidence or intentional?
