I found out on line that my town's sports complex pool opens at 5am on weekdays. So I paid for a years membership so I could run over there before work to get an hour's worth of exercise in the pool. (It's about a 3 mile drive from my house). My backyard pool is only 30ft long, this is an olympic sized pool at 25 yards x 50 meters. They alternate on how they set the lanes up depending on the size of the crowd, many times in the early morning you can swim laps in the 50 meter direction.
So I was there this morning at 5am (it wasn't crowded being Labor Day). Suddenly, it started to rain. No thunder or lightning, just a very heavy downpour. Since there was no danger from lightning they didn't close the pool. Nobody left, we were already wet from being in the pool, what difference would some rain make? First time in my life I ever swam in the rain!

Swimming in the rain is so nice, I can't swim any more because someone has to go with me and no one has the time
Okay, well. I've got two:
Embarrassing one first: When I was 12 (12 or 11, dunno, was in year 7 but I don't remember which part of the year this happened, probably middle? so let's say 12) I told everyone I was best friends/penpals with Daniel Radcliffe. Lots of people believed me, lol. >__> (I'm 22 now so I can laugh at this? I guess)
Second one: Not embarrassing, but the term "archaic", When I was much younger (again memory fails me, I don't recall if I was already over 12 or if this happened when I was 10?), I thought it referred to some far off country no one knew about called Archaia.
And that is all you will ever need to know about me. ;-p

Bare foot
After a few months between contracts after being laid off from BlackBerry, I've started working at a high tech startup. The company has a very liberal business casual dress code, jeans and tee shirts being the norm. Many even wear shorts and flip flops. After finding out that open toed shoes in the office area were OK, I've been wearing my sandals everyday. I usually drive to work and back bare footed too. I can't stand shoes and socks anymore., and often go bare foot at home. I'm so glad I can work in my sandals.

Re: Confessions thread
I remember that cartoon. My favorite episode was when he helped Schulberts ghost finish the unfinished Symphony.

I've never seen those movies either. I've heard the first two are pretty good.
I never saw the 2009 Astro Boy movie until New Year's Day this year. I avoided it because I've heard how mediocre it was from several sources, but it was actually on okay film. Nothing special, but it was okay for what it was.
