I'm currently playing the Japanese version of Majora's Mask, and I don't understand squat. On the other hand, I'm looking for the differences between the two versions...

I just looked it up, and it appears that there's only two noticeable differences between the Japanese and American versions: that there's three save slots instead of two, and the owl statues that allow you to save your progress only serve as warp destinations (playing the Song of Time is the only way of saving your progress in the Japanese version).

I'm so glad that the latter was changed for the North American release. Saves the trouble of having to warp somewhere right after loading up your game.

One change that's pretty obvious is skull kid. I'm not sure if his mouth was changed to a bill only for America or for both Japan and America. Needless to say, he originally resembled black face...

I've seen this a few times in the past (no pun intended), but it always cracks me up. The 1990s was a wacky time.
