When attempting to refresh the browser page for the forum, I just got a notice from a strange URL that the forum server had been changed and that I had to clear my browser cache to see the new site. ??? I got this on Chrome, but not on Chromium (Chrome is the "official" binary from Google, Chromium is the open source version built by Ubuntu). I didn't try Firefox yet.

Rather than go to the link in the URL (phishing?) I manually cleared my browser data from the previous hour only (chrome gives you an option for the depth of history deletion). That did the trick. WTF is going on?

You honestly think you can just discus, Uranium, and Cobalt and Robotics without yik yak?
Did you notice that attempt had a URL called "Trapped?" :w00t: :D :whistling:
And how can I come in here and log in and post without doing a DNS flush? Without doing what "Trapped" wanted? Strange huh?

The last I heard from Mark, 48 hours ago, was that the hosting service had asked him if he'd like the site to switch server in order to avoid the phishing problem that we've had (apparently not all their servers are identical), so I assume that they have in fact proceeded since. It just means that we're safer now, that we're sure not to encounter that problem again in the future.

Maybe we also have more disk space to avoid the PM lockouts that have happened in the past. BTW the quick links are again dead on my mobile device (smart phone) they did work a few months ago. This problem seems to come and go.

My guess would be that astroboy-online.com is now automatically redirected to www.astroboy-online.com . I know that some time ago it wasn't. If you copy-paste an "old" URL (without www), you previously browsed some kind of "mirror site". But now, you happen to be redirected to the "real" one (with www), which invalidates all cookies, causes quick links that depend on login to bork, and probably makes Chrome react on the discrepency.

If anything, people could join the Discord server and then hop over here to the forum to join the forum if they haven't already to discuss topics.

Also, this could be a good alternative for Skype meetings in case Skype is acting up.

As such, I'm sticking this thread. As of my post, five members, including F-Man and myself, have joined the server. Come join if you're interested!

Is this because of the Astro boy block?
Norton security blocks this site for this reason !

I tried notifying Mark about the Norton issue a while ago, but he hasn't responded yet. Assuming he's been really busy in his personal life.

Try sending a private message and/or email to Mark about the issue. I'll try sending one again as well.

Also, the Discord server isn't meant to replace the forum. It's an additional way to communicate with other members of the forum.

No doubt that that has probably scared off some people. There's not really anything I can do about it though.

Could just be a Norton thing, or maybe there was one of those bad things (I forget what it's called, excuse me ;-; ) that like takes over and poses as an innocent/clean website temporarily. Nothing is happening for me though, I run malwarebytes/avast.

Cybotron, do you have another antivirus/antimalware program? Can you see if others are producing the same warning?
