Favourite music right now?

Postby Lily » 7 years ago

(I recognise that there has been a thread about this, however it is three months old and probably not significant enough to bump. Please consider this a continuation of that thread, if that's okay.)

What's everyone been listening to recently? Just a bit curious :-) Super into Caravan Palace right now, specifically this song. Anyone else? What's your favourites? ^__^

Caravan Palace is great! I particularly like Clash, Je M'amuse, and Lone Digger.

I just heard Major Lazer - Jessica (feat. Ezra Koenig) on the radio. Apparently it's a few years old but I never heard it before. Such a cool sounding song, plus my cat Jessica died last week. So I think this song will stick with me as reminding me of her.

That's a cool song ^_^

One of my favourites is this one, off the only album Arcadia ever produced (Arcadia was Duran Duran's side project). Yeah I'm a sucker for older stuff like this ;-p

I have been listening to a lot of Gojira and Strapping Young Lad lately. I also discovered a cool band from Norway called I, but they only have one album, Between Two Worlds.

These days, I listen to almost exclusively video game music and anime soundtracks, as well as rock/metal covers of video game music and anime music. Most other music just doesn't cut it for me anymore.

One video game soundtrack I've been discovering lately, due to playing through the game, is the soundtrack for Final Fantasy IX. You can never go wrong with Nobuo Uematsu's music. If you need good web-surfing music, look no further.

I've also been on a bit of a classic rock kick lately. One album I discovered recently is Survivor's Eye of the Tiger. I've heard the song "Eye of the Tiger" for years now, but until recently, I had never heard the other songs on that album. They're excellent. My favorite song on that album is Feels Like Love.

I'll occasionally listen to some metal bands I used to listen to during my teenage years, but I've backed away from a lot of metal bands lately. The ones that I've been listening to recently are Dream Theater and Galneryus.

I discovered Candlebox last night. I like post-grunge a lot. So I really like this song now. :-)
