I love it!!
When I see unshaded drawings of the characters, I always think "that's how it all started" - with Dr. Tezuka sketching out stories. And that's one reason I love reading the manga - because the drawings came right from his hand/mind.
What do you use to cartoon? A rapidograph, or "old fashioned" pen with nibs or a fine point felt tip...?
It's always a treat to have a new image to check out - thanks, Adrian!!
PS - if you ever want a special "challenge" - I'd love to see Astro "grown up" (I'm convinced he wouldn't want to remain a child forever, and would love it if there could be a whole series based on him as an adult - I guess because I grew up, I'd love to see him in that setting too! )
PS #2 - I'd also love a "prequel" to Astro Boy - centered on Tobio and what happened to Hoshi, etc. Wouldn't that be AWESOME??

Let's say 25.
In the manga Tezuka drew a version of him at 18 (if you ask me, he looked older than that) but he seemed to have "trouble" deciding how "muscular" to make him. That awkwardness came across in the Japanese-only episode called "Atom is Stolen"

As long as you don't ask him to draw me old and bald!
