That's "Engrish". Japanese often don't tell the difference between 'l' and 'r' .
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

And all the Chinese jokes I've heard involved L's and R's.
(Like the joke about "Cadaracs" and "Rincoln Continentals").

That reminds me of the scene in A Christmas Story where they go to the Chinese restaurant. It's my favorite scene from the movie:

Omg, Shiyonasan, that was hilarious!
It reminds me of a time when I was at a Chinese restaurant, and I was asking a lady about some candy. She kept saying it was "wawa". I eventually figured out it was guava. It seems they can't get that word right in general because my friend had the same problem at an Asian Market. :D

Yes it is interesting how many different non-English speaking people have trouble saying different English words.

I wonder if non-English speakers remark about any English speaking person having trouble with certain words from their language?

(Boy when you guys go off topic, you really go off topic!)

[At this point I wonder if anyone wants to wish Astro Boy a belated happy birthday, if they haven't already wished him a happy birthday?]

I  :astro: :)

It's a gift.

Yeah, guys, if anyone hasn't said Happy Birthday to Astro feel free!

Let's petition Google to make a special doodle next year for both Astro's birthday and Tezuka's birthday!
