Wikipedia lists the 1980s version as episode 14 (#15 in the Japanese 1980s anime) and of course as others have stated the original was episode 148 and aired in Japan on Dec. 25, 1965.--Astrobuddy

Good, I have that episode on an MP4 file.
The Christmas bit was at the very end of the episode, shown in Atoms house with his family. Except where was Cobalt? He should have been there.
