As for my avatar, a friend drew it for me...he would've used either Photoshop or Open Canvas, I'm not sure

This webpage has a good tutorial on colouring with photoshop. Although it's version 7.0, the basics work with older ones (I use version 5.0...scary :wacko

Personally I prefer to darken lineart by increasing the contrast instead of messing around with channels. You can find it under Image > Adjust > Brightness/Contrast...

Inspired from various episodes...yep

Quality's pretty shoddy though because I had to compress most of them.

I just try freehand, without any or more than 1 or 2 of those whatchacallem lines that you erase when finished. I just cannot help but use 1X10 to the millionth power pounds of force, and so cannot cleanly erase them. I break a lot of points off my pencils. Is that bottom left one from her bouncing on the bed scene?

I think the eyes in the top picture remind me of the PPG.
